I know I'm not alone, but thanks. :) And in all honesty, I'd much rather have a dog than a significant other. (My dad once joked that dogs and men aren't all that different: they require attention, food, water, etc... The difference is I trust dogs more than I do most other people. Most. If he meant to sell me on getting a boyfriend with that comment, it backfired.)

 

I'm actually really happy being single. It allows me more freedom in doing what I want. I can be there for my friends and family. I mean, yeah, there's tax discrimination and people might look down on me for it, but I really am happy being single.
